Originally from Paris, France, Pamela Pianezza is a contributor to numerous magazines such as Première, Le Monde des ados, and the fashion weekly Be. She also writes about crime films for the Alibi quarterly and is one of the French correspondents of the Canadian journal Sequences. She collaborated on an issue about Douglas Sirk (The Taste of Tears) and writes frequently about new Scandinavian cinema. She has been a FIPRESCI juror in the last editions of the Venice, Goteborg, and Stockholm film festivals.

Messi A-halli lõpus Tartu Loomemajanduskeskuse ja Seminariruumi vahel toimetavad reedel ja laupäeval mitmed organisatsioonid oma töötubadega. BFM paneb välja meediaekspert Andres Jõesaare, kes viib läbi BFMi ristmeedia õppekava tutvustava töötoa. Kohapeal on kõigil huvilistel võimalik salvestada video-tervitus, monteerida sellest e-kaart, kaart veebi üles laadida ja sõpradega jagada.

Reede õhtul kell 19 on aga kõigil huvilistel üsna ainulaadne võimalus tulla ja vaadata Athena kinos tasuta BFMi filmitudengite parimaid töid. Kohapeal on ka BFMi tudengid, kes räägivad huvilistele, mismoodi BFMis see filmikunsti õppimine käib.

People despise pigeons, the dirty birds picking on leftovers from the trash, always stuttering around the grey apartment houses. The passers-by hush the birds off their way, as they do with people, the ones with tragic life stories. Oleg takes the blows of fate with infantile fatalism because he always has his pigeons to go to. Nadežda cannot cope with the loss of her husband and is hoping that God will one day reunite the two of them. How to find the strength to keep on living? Suitably for her, a traditional Russian Orthodox Church is being built in the apartment-house district. Many people come to the church but for Oleg and Nadežda, the church proves to be a bit overwhelming in its indifferent greatness. The Pigeons is a creative documentary about the strength of hope of a simple man.

The 3rd edition of IRFF will take place in the village of Anija, Estonia (population: 128). The festival will be opening on the 10th of March 2012.
