BFM offers the following types of study allowances:
- basic allowance – monetary assistance to study costs, currently 65 EUR per month;
- supplementary allowance – a monetary allowance to cover the costs of accommodation and transportation, currently 32 EUR per month.
- special allowances from the BFM allowance fund for students based on need.
Allowances are granted based on application and grade rankings. Ranking lists are drawn up on the basis of the percentage of the completion of the curriculum (on average 30 ECP per semester) and the student’s grade point average of the previous semester.
Ranking lists are posted on notice boards on the 15th of September for Autumn term and the 15th of February for Spring term.
Study allowances are granted twice a year for 5 months (Autumn semester: September, October, November, December, January; and Spring semester: February, March, April, May, June).
